Meaningful Mealtimes
Mealtime is a perfect time for learning! Build an awareness of sequence and patterns by talking about the steps in a recipe. Support language and literacy skills by describing the foods you are eating.
Little Muscles, Big Fun!
Before children can write legibly or tie their shoelaces, they must develop the small muscles in their hands and fingers! Tearing paper, using tweezers, rolling dough, and pinching leaves are examples of activities that grow these important muscles. Try these fun activities throughout the day!
Dressing for the Weather
Springtime means that the weather is changing almost all the time! Before your child gets dressed for the day, look at the weather forecast and talk about what the symbols and numbers tell us. Encourage your child to use what he knows about the weather to choose which clothes are best for your weather!
